 A THROUGH BACK FROM 2004

This car first got the attention of the AutomMods crew when we visited the Midas Mufflers' Head Office on Derrymore Road some time in the summer of ' 04'. At the time, the car was for sale and was being touched up. We flashed a couple of shots because this car was too hard to pass up. We asked about a feature but we were told that since it was being sold that wasn't possible. We made contact with the car again at another car's photo shoot and were told that it was no longer for sale and had gotten some new upgrades since we last saw it. So we could now feature the car called "Faith". Being a sports performance car, it was already a good car to start with.

The bold front bumper of this car, with the well placed spaces, seems to have been made for an intercooler and looks great outfitted with one. The front lights gave it an agrressive look, looking like eyes under knitted brows. A humped hood gives the idea that underneath is a beast. Simple but cool looking side skirts, molded to look like there is no seam between the door and the skirting, gives the side a clean, completed look. The small side mirrors fit cleverly. The rear of the car is a design gem. The dominating bumper, fitted with the indicators, must be the largest bumper I have ever seen on a sports car besides the Toyota Supra. The tail lights sit seamlessly on top of the bumper, tapering off to its vanishing point, topped off by a very stylish wing. This cars' body was made with aerodynamics in the forefront of the designers mind.

2000cc DOHC 5 speed manual engine with some of Mitsubishi's best performance parts, this car makes 140.0 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 95.9 ft lbs of Torque @ 3800 rpm makes it a perfect candidate for some "boost". The car was still undergoing modifications and proper tuning when we did this feature.

The Turbo of choice was an upgraded Garret T3/T4 Turbo. After adding this he needed a few parts that went hand in hand with a turbo upgrade. A front mounted intercooler with 2" 1/4 upper and piping was installed. An HKS Electronic Valve controller IV, with HKS blow off valve and Greddy Turbo Timer was installed. Some internal engine mods were also made; an ACT 2600 Pressure Plate and NGK Spark Plugs were added. A Power Max Air Filter created a much better upgrade from the stock filter. The exhaust mods are from a stock system to a 3" Dynomax Exhaust Piping with Mandrel bends and stainless steel performance Muffler and tip.

The interior of this car is luxuriously made. Sitting in the leather bucket seats made me feel like I was strapped into a F16 fighter jet. Included are standard Power windows to power mirrors, central locking doors, Cd, radio and tape player. The audio system carried Infinity 8 mid range speakers which when amplified, made very clean 3D surround sound.
